About SmartSite WebWorks

SmartSite WebWorks is a small business, with business consultants who understand the needs of the small business owner. We have more than 40 years of combined experience in the information technology and business consulting fields. We have worked in both Fortune 500 corporations and in small start-up operations. We have experience in the public and private sector, as well as in for-profit and non-profit organizations.

SmartSite WebWorks was founded by Dixie Groutt and Elizabeth Robinson. Dixie and Liz began working together when they were Systems Analysts in the IT department of a Fortune 50 corporation in the 1990′s. It was there that they honed their strong technical skills…and learned the importance of delighting their customers.

In the corporate IT world, Dixie and Liz developed many mission critical computer applications. Their corporate customers were very happy with the products they created NOT because Dixie and Liz were brilliant technicians…Dixie and Liz DO have good technical skills and design and develop very robust products. However, what really made their customers happy was that Dixie and Liz listened carefully to their wants and needs.

Dixie and Liz learned a lot by listening to their customers. They learned how the customers’ business was conducted and why things were done the way they were. They learned what the customer thought was wrong with their current business processes and what changes could make the process work better. Dixie and Liz listened to the people on the front line, who were actually doing the jobs, and worked with them to make their daily tasks easier and to help the business become more successful.

Eventually, Dixie and Liz left the corporate world behind and, in 2006, started SmartSite WebWorks. They have continued working with their SmartSite WebWorks customers in the same way that they worked with their corporate customers. They listen and learn and work with their customers to deliver websites which will help make their customers’ businesses successful.
